Hi! My name is Ria Putzker and I live in wonderful Vienna. I moved into the creative field very early on. My father, who is also a photographer, always helped and supported me on my way. I got a taste for dog photography mainly because of our family dog Phoebe, a sweet dachshund mix lady who has been with me since I was a teenager. I have been a commercial dog photographer since 2017 and I love my work to bits. Getting to know new dogs and people, discovering unknown locations and trying out new perspectives is great fun for me!

Meir Gur
The most important thing for me is to inspire my participants to capture new perspectives and have fun and enjoy photography! During the workshop, you receive tons of knowledge about dog photography and a chance to work with me by your side. We will spend time photographing dogs in natural light and I will lead you to approach different shooting conditions. You will learn how I make my photos from using light, working with dogs, composition to giving the photo a magical touch with editing.
Together we create impressive photos that you can be proud of!
Course of the workshop
Ria and Meir have prepared exciting topics for you that will let you dive into their world of dog photography – and you’ll have the chance to learn from two masters of the genre, In natural and urban locations.They not only show you how to get the perfect photo, none of your questions will remain unanswered!
The first day of the workshop includes a theoretical section, where camera settings, working with dogs, the use of (un)natural light and image design will be discussed in detail. The whole theory will then be put into practice! During the photography part, you will be divided into two groups so that everyone can get to the desired angle and the workshop leaders can respond individually to each participant.
On the second day we will start with image editing, where the workflow in Photoshop and Lightroom is shown step by step. Then you have the opportunity to edit your own photos while Ria and Meir look over the shoulder, helping you achieve the editing style you want.We will go to the second photography practice to further strengthen what we learned.
The last day we have one final practical session and we end the workshop on giving all the participants feedback and tips for the future!
We are looking forward to three unforgettable days!
What you need
- DSLR or mirrorless camera
- Lenses (best suited are lenses with a low aperture, contact me if you want recommendations or have questions)
- Laptop with Photoshop and Lightroom (the trial version will also do if you don't have it yet)
- Full batteries, memory cards and clothes that are allowed to get dirty!
Further informations
The workshop is aimed at slightly advanced to advanced people who want to strengthen their skills and broaden their horizons - camera settings and basics in Photoshop should already be known. The workshop will be held in English.
Location
The locations and seminar room will be in and around Kopenhagen area.
Price
The price of the workshop is 500 euros. Meals and, if necessary, overnight accommodation are not included.

The deposit will be refunded in the event of cancellation no later than 14 days before the appointment. The payment can be done via Paypal or bank transfer. If the workshop cannot take place (because of Covid-19, etc.) it will be postponed!
